BROOK HOLUB, PC I Licensed Counselor

Brook credits the series of choices she made from childhood to present, having witnessed the impact that economic struggles and cycles of mental and emotional abuse had on her family, that led her to help others struggling with their stories. Through her experience counseling individuals at Ohio Guidestone and Autism Learning Partners, Brook found the importance of building a strong relationship with her clients and their families. Brook understands the amount of work and effort necessary to overcome your past, to persevere in life, define yourself as your own individual, and not only be better but also do better.

“Sometimes, in life, we are used to being invalidated by the people closest to us which can cause us to question what we value, feel, think, and believe in. Learning how to identify and self validate your feelings, thoughts, values, and beliefs takes time. By building a therapeutic relationship where you are not only seen and heard, but also where you are unconditionally accepted and supported, you are provided an environment for healing.”

As a person-centered therapist, Brook not only believes in the importance of meeting clients where they are at, but also in skill development. She advocates for self-care, connecting to the present moment, and creating balance. As such, she utilizes an integrated approach to counseling, incorporating different techniques and interventions deepening on the client’s individual needs. Brook is passionate working with young women suffering from adjustment issues, relationship issues, as well those suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder.
